The Dax Law Firm routinely advises and represents clients in complex environmental permitting and impact review proceedings before federal, state and local agencies. We work successfully with clients to secure permits required under the federal Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Rivers and Harbors Act and their New York State counterparts. We guide project sponsors through the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Coastal Zone Management, Essential Fish Habitat, Endangered Species and Historic Preservation review. We appear before and negotiate with the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the Army Corps of Engineers, National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), the United States Fish & Wildlife Service (USF&W), the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), the New York State Board on Electric Generation Siting and the Environment, the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC), the New York State Department of State (DOS) (Coastal Zone Management), the New York State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and local zoning boards.
